Cheap designer handbags

Ok so anyone who is looking for a cheap leather handbag needs to pay attention to this post especially as this is the first time i have decided to feature an Armani. Now this is also a first given the fact i have never had an Armani bag on this blog yet. The main reason for the absence or Armani on this blog is due to the price of your average handbag from the Italian fashion house. Its not that im against really expensive bags in principle but i do want to cater mainly for cheaper bags on this blog.

Now one thing i do have to remind myself of is that everyone’s idea of “cheap” is not the same and when i tell you that this new bag tote leather bag is going to set you back around £350  you may scream at your PC “thats not cheap!”. However prices are all relative and when you compare this to the price of your average bag from Armani then this really is a steal. As you can expect the leather is top quality and so is the finish but then again you would expect this wouldn’t you. So this may be a first here on cheapdesignerbags as this is the first ecofirendly clutch handbag that we have reviewed. This handbag is made by a new company called Ascension and its made through a collaboration between many disadvantaged people all across the world. Un-surprisingly im not totally familiar with all of the details but still it’s the thought that counts and i think this is a great idea in general.

The clutch features soft brown leather and also has cute little diamond studs on the outside. It is quite small but i think thats the idea with clutch bags in general and i think alot of designers have forgotten this recently. Also it is really quite cheap at only £45 online which i think is a bargain. Check out their site if you interested in more eco friendly fashion.

So i saw this new bag from Vivienne Westwood the other day and its in the style of faux cobra leather which i think is really cool. The best thing though is definitely the colours which are the most amazing rainbow fade effect that i think is just great.

One thing though that i think may be though is finding an outfit to go with this handbag as the colours really are quite striking. However with all this been said i  think its about time i finally got around to showing a Vivienne Westwood bag on my blog here as she has been one of the premiere designers of the last 20 years. The price is going to be around £120 which isn’t bad i don’t think for a top designer, try geting a Prada/Gucci bag for less than £200 these days.

So i just realised i have yet to have a “real” Chloe bag on my blog. So to make amends here is a new slouch bag in red leather which i am starting to really like. It has triangle pulls on the zips and a red tassel on the end. The best thing about this bag is it just looks like you want to mess around with it straight away with all the compartments and folds.

Also it looks really comfortable as my first thought was this will be a great day to day bag to carry around the essentials. It does seem to have alot of room inside with several compartments of different sizes. I do think that Chloe has a great reputation for designer bags but i haven’t seen anything i really like in the last few seasons. However i think this is a really great move back into the mainstream market for them as this designer bag is going to appeal to alot of different people. I hope to include more every day handbags on this blog in the future as i think while we all aspire to the couture evening bags there is always a need for the practical side of things too!

Around £350 on the highstreet

So im always a fan of something new and even more so something that stands out a little bit. So here is the new “triangle” shoulder bag from Gareth Pugh which has just hit the shelves in time for February.  It features soft white leather and i think it does actaully look quite cool in a weird way.

However i have to admit that the novelty may ware off, i have a feeling this is one of those designer bags that starts to look quite dated after a season or two. Also keep in mind that it looks quite 70s already. Its not cheap by some standards at £350 but being at the cutting edge of design never was!

So i may be a little late on this one but i wanted to post about this new Fendi spy tote bag that i just spotted for the first time. It was released during the summer but for some reason is only coming to my attention now.  Now this bag is very high end at its going to set you back over £1000 in designer outlets but it really is an work of art.

The sequins look really great and i like the way the violet refects in the soft light. One thing i do have to critize about this Fendi bag is that it is quite small and you could almost consider it a clutch its so compact. On the one hand it is easy to carry but you have to keep in mind your not going to be able to carry alot around with it. Its truly an act of style of practicality in this case but this has often been the case with many of todays (and yesterdays) high end designer handbags. Miu Miu clutch handbags are back and this time they are going for something a bit different. For a long time designers making new clutches have been happy with just some bright colours or occassionally some exotic leather but this new purse from Miu Miu is really quite startling. For a start the little red/orange discs are just gorgeous and i love the way it fades from red to brown.

It also has a an almost 70s feel to it but not in a bad retro way! I can really imagine this fitting in well at your next high class disco or modern bar. Its not cheap however coming in at £545 in designer shops, though i think there are some discounts to be found online. I also like the fact the Miu Miu are starting to move away from the standard box clutch bags which can often feel clumsey and oncorindated. The material feels really felixable and its not something that is likely to annoy you more as the night goes on, a good investment that will go well with a range of outfits i feel!

So about time for another laptop bag review i think as we haven’t had one in a while and we also haven’t had one like this in a very long time. The best thing about this designer laptop bag i have to admit is that it doesn’t look like a laptop bag at all. Its made by jtotebags and and it should fit all standard “15 inch laptops and allow you to carry your work/play around with you in style.

One thing that is also worth noting about this laptop bag that i have never seen in other bags of this type is that it will be entirely possible to use it as a normal bag too. Just take out your computer and throw in all your essentials from makeup to your phone, i think its a real testament to the design that you can get away with this! The bag is made mainly from leather but also has beads and even bamboo for decoration, the design really is unique. The price is as you can expect more than you would pay for your basic notebook bag at around £120 but i think this a really a solid investment if you do carry your computer around with you alot.

Im always looking for new styles her at cheapdesignerbag and one thing i do like to see is a bit of Art Deco now and again. So you wont be surprised to hear that i really love this cheap new clutch from Fenn Wright Manson. Now i have to admit that i havnt heard alot about this designer as they are pretty new on the scene but so far i think i like what i see. They do have a reputation for pushing the boundaries of modern handbag design and i think that can never be a bad thing.

This designer bag in particular seems to be based around a firework display so it should be at home on your average winter night out! The bow on the side looks really cool but it also quite understated too as it fades into the rest of the overall design. Also have yet to manage the best thing about this clutch and thats the price as its only £65 from John Lewis which i think is a great deal for a top designer. Let me know what you think.

So i have to admit i have not always been a fan of Stella McCartney, mainly because over the past few seasons her handbags havnt really been up to standard. I can understand this from one perceptive as she has been focusing more on her designer ware but even so. However it looks like she is starting to produce some really interesting designs again mainly in the clutch handbags arena.

So the first thing you or anyone else is going to notice about this clutch is the bright yellow leather. It really makes a bold statement and i suppose it is not going to be everyone’s cup of tea. One problem you may have is finding something to match this, however where there is a will there is a way and i have a feeling some designer eveningwear may fit. I have to mention this is also a very rational clutch bag as is only has a very small gold chain for the wrist and not the big DKNY straps that we have seen alot in recent years.

One thing that does go against this bag is the price as its around £350 in most high street stores which i think is alot for such as small bag. Also you have to consider how much use you are going to get out of a clutch handbag like this as its really only going to be used for special occasions. Still i think its a really great return to form for Stella so you might want to check out some of her other bags too!
