Its the first time ive reviewed a Christian Louboutin bag on this blog so I thought I would make a post about this new quilted clutch purse they have just released. I have to admit the first thing that popped into my head about this bag when I saw it was a sofa I used to own years ago! It really has quite an unusual look to it and im pretty sure this is going to get you a lot of attention from anyone else into great designer ware when you are out and about.
I really like the metal circles on the outside of the handbag but I suppose the most surprising thing is that there not silver at all! They are actually silver quilted leather and I think it looks pretty amazing either from a distance or up close. I have to say its great to see something different on a clutch but also something that we can all appreciate as even though this clutch is very unique Im sure it will appeal to a wide range of tastes in the fashion world. The price is slightly on the steep side but that is to be expected from any type of Louboutin bag these days as its over £800 in most stores. Still if your looking for something to really stand out from the crowd then you really cant go wrong with this fantastic new clutch.

Been a while since i featured a Mischa Barton handbag here had cheapdesignerhandbag but i do quite like this new clutch/box bag that she has released. One thing i do like about her bags is that they are usually quite cheap and accessible, ie this bag is only £39 at asos which for a good designer is not a bad discount.
Its a pretty small bag so don’t expect to be carrying around your entire wardrobe in it but maybe thats the point. I suppose its not a true clutch bag in some ways as it does come with a shoulder strap but this makes it more practical for most people. I do however really like the light brown leather and the simple pattern on the front. If anything it is a bit too simple in general though, this bag is definitely not going to get you noticed when out and about. Also for maybe just £40 more you could get something much more stylish (still not a top designer though). Still with all the reviews of £1000 bags on here lately i thought it would be nice to review something in the lower price bracket.

So i already reviewed a Miu Miu bag about a month ago but i liked that one so much i thought i would do another one for this new “pink bird clutch”. The most striking thing about this clutch is the bird on the front which really does seem like it is flying. Best thing i suppose is that more designers are starting to Jazz up their bags a bit, ive seen too many with just plain colours and patterns lately. The bird design on the front of this bag really breaks up the stripes on the front well. This is actually quite a big clutch as it comes with an optional shoulder strap if you don’t want to hold it all day. You could stay that its half way between clutch and tote.
What cant be denied though is that this Miu Miu really grabs attention and with so many designers vying for attention these days youve really got to do something special to stand out from the crowd. I know some fashion houses are trying to stand out by reducing prices and offering discount offers but in my opinion the No1 thing that should drive sales should be the quality of the product itself.

So in my never-ending quest to post new, interesting and most importantly cheap designer handbags here is my first ever vintage bag. I suppose the key thing you have to contemplate with any vintage bag is what era is it actually trying to emulate? Thats the first problem i had with this Dicha bag as i couldn’t really work out what time frame it was from. I mean it doesn’t look that art deco and it doesn’t look that 60s either.
What your really saying i think when you by something vintage is that your not willing to blindly follow the latest trends but instead a trend that happened 50 years ago, its still a trend after all. For some though the all over diamonds and pink ribbon on the front isn’t going to exude style and sophistication but at the same time you have to keep in mind that what we think is stylish now might look ridiculous 50 years ago too! Still we are living in the present era and i cant help but think this bag is a little too much at once, it really isn’t going to match with many other accessories or outfits around at the moment (unless you go for a vintage dress too!). On the plus side it is available at quite a discount as its only £425 at netaporter.

So i think its been a while since ive had a post about a new Prada handbag so thought i might write something short about this new Saffiano tote that has just come on the market. I suppose its a bit of a weird bag to start with as looks like some wallpaper left over from the 1970s. Still its a pretty interesting print bag and it does have a very retro look about it which i think will appeal to alot of you ladies.
One interesting point about this bag is that the pattern is that it is from the Prada archives and has been used before in other designers from them. I suppose its great that they are reusing stuff but at the same time id like to see Prada focus more on new stuff as lately i haven’t been too excited about their latest offerings.
One thing i do have to point out is that this isn’t exactly a discount handbag (by my standards) as its going to cost you at least £1300. Now for Prada this isn’t actually too bad but in terms of designer bags in general its definitely at the expensive end of the scale. I suppose it raises the question of how much you are willing to pay for that real designer look that you can only get with the top designers like Prada and DKNY.

So been a while since ive had a Jimmy Choo clutch bag on cheapdesignerhandbag so i thought i would review this slightly eccentric new Zulu bag that i just spotted on their site today. Its a bit different than anything ive seen in a while but that can only be a good thing. The main effect is the black and white butterfly imprinted onto the white leather on the side of the handbag which is really quite unique and bound to stand out at any decent party.
This clutch bag is quite big as its over 12 inches long but i think its good to have a variety of shapes when it comes to clutches as we all have different needs when it comes to our designer ware. Also some people may have reservations about the white leather and what kind of outfit it will go with but i think if Kate Moss can pull it off then hopefully you ladies can too!
Inside the bag has a satin lining and on the top there is only a standard zip pull which isn’t that adventurous i have to say but still. Since it is a genuine Jimmy Choo Zulu you can expect to pay at least £500 for it but i have heard of some great bargains on the online stores. As i have said before its always best to shop around as sometimes your not just paying for the brand of the handbag but the store you are buying it in, weather that is Saks fifth avenue or your local high street shop.

So time for another first and its actually quite a surprising one as i have never actually reviewed a Bottega Veneta clutch bag on cheapdesignerhandbag before, in fact i don’t think i have reviewed a Bottega Veneta at all! So to make up for the shame of this lack of Veneta i have a beautiful new Knot leather clutch in purple and pink.
I really like the styling on the out outside of the bag with the lines that run though the purple and white leather created by the line stitching all over. Also the knot clasp to keep your valuables safe is really cool though i suppose not completely original. I also have to be aware that for some this clutch does not stand out enough to justify the price tag as its well over £600 online. I suppose this is more of a casual type of clutch and wont appeal to everyone especially if you are going to a real classy occasion. The general look that this is going to go well with is dare i say it (jeans)?? When you look at it this way £600 is alot for a daytime bag that your not going to be taking anywhere that special.
Still its an amazing bag from Bottega Veneta and they do have one of the best reputations in the clutch market and even for handbags in general. You really cant go wrong with this designer, i mean just look at this bag, its stunning!

So its not often that we see a bag come back into fashion is it? I mean the ladies designer handbag world is a pretty crowded place with designers launching new bags all the time and constantly trying to outdo the competition. Theres not much room for nostalgia in the fashion world (well maybe once 10-20 years have passed). Still with all this being said i wanted to review a designer bag that first came out in 2007 and has since made a comeback, its the Siliverado bag from Chloé.
First thing you will notice about this shoulder bag is the shape as its really chunky so your going to be able to fit alot of the most important things inside as its actually quite deep. Also i really like the whip stitching on the handles and around the sides which gives it that real country and western look, which just like this bag is making a comeback this spring. The brown leather also feels really amazing though im not sure if its Italian or not. One thing that won’t be surprise to any of you is the price which is going to be over £1000 in most shops. For some a vintage Chloe bag for £1000 is a real steal but personally id have liked to have seen a bigger discount given that this bag is over 3 years old.

Ive never really got ethical green clothing to be honest, i mean its nice and all but for most of us the No1 priority for any designer item is that it looks good and not how many polar bears it saves. Still this new bag from Ascension has another quality going for it and that’s that it actually looks quite good. On both sides it has this cool mosaic tile effect that seems to remind me of someone’s bathroom (cant remember who).
The best thing about this designer tote bag though has to be how practical it is as you going to be able to carry alot of you essentials around in it, and it looks really comfortable too. Also another big factor has to be the price as this is truly a budget handbag because its only around £50 online. Im not sure if its cheaper because its eco-friendly or because its made from recycled material but i don’t think it matters as its really hard to get a good bag for under £70 these days. So if your looking for something kinda casual but also on a budget then this could be the bargain you are looking for!

So i have wanted to do a post on a Ted Baker handbag for a while but up until now ive never really found one that i felt too excited about. However this bag from the designer has a really interesting idea and that is the attached purse that comes with it. Now for some this might be a slightly confusing or even weird concept as its not something i have personally seen before. I suppose the idea isn’t that you actually carry the purse around attached to the bag as that would be a little too crazy. Its more like a “box set” that you get for perfume sets etc where the items complement each other in some way.
I think the complement definitely works as the light coral with leather tan really goes great in my opinion. Even if we set aside the “gimmick” of an attached purse the main purchase (the handbag) is quite stunning. The pretend Croc brown leather looks amazing and the white stripes down the side really sets off the whole look. Price wise we are going to be looking at around £190 in most online designer shops and maybe a little more on the high street. So if your looking for something a bit different and great value for money this spring i don’t think you can go wrong with this latest bag from Mr Baker.
