Cheap designer handbags

So i think this is the first time we have featured a bag by Diane Von Furstenberg here on cheapdesignerhandbag but theres no time like the present. One thing i really like that this designer has done is the overlapping folds in the leather that give a really unique look to the handbag. One thing i may not be sure about though and i think some of you ladies may feel the same is the random metal studs and discs scattered around, im just not sure if it works properly.

Still its always great to see something different and ive always been a fan of this designer (even though ive never featured them here). One cool thing though is the adjustable strap that goes around the outside of the bag that allows you to really change the shape of the handbag. I know this bag may not be for everyone and i suppose you could say that’s its an acquired taste. One good point though that as far as the top designers go Diane tote bags are actually quite reasonably priced (when compared to DKNY anyway) as this one is about £600 in most stores, which given the quality of the finish and the materials used you could say its a steal (depending on your budget).

I know alot of people have been complaining recently that its alot of the best designer bags are coming out in America first. However i still think its possible to find great cheap handbags in the UK at good retailers. Of course there are some big shops and online stores over here too link Asos and Netaporter but on the whole i think there is an argument to be made that the best handbags can take a lifetime to reach our shores (if at all).

Anyway on a lighter note one of my favourite designers “Donna Karan” who almost always gets her wares to the UK at the same time as the rest of the world has just introduced one of my favourite bags of the year. Its called the Leather Crossbody and as you can see its has an distinctive and really different look. The most amazing thing is the dying technique they have used on the leather to create this really weird and cool zebra effect. Since it is Donna Karan you can expect to pay at least £600 in most retailers, now weather you view this as a “cheap deal” or not will be up to you but i for one think its a truly stunning bag.

So thought i would take the chance to clock in again here at cheapdesignerhandbag and give you guys a new post. Im actually on holiday at the moment so havnt really been up to date with whats going on but its nice to have a break. So here is a particularly interesting clutch from Jane de Bono Accessories which has the unique claim to fame of being completely handmade but available for under £50. Now how true this is i dont know but weather you think the the fact that it is handmade or not is important i think is a pretty cool clutch bag.

The front is a kind of grey leather with the word “Love” on the side in a kind of arty style. On the other side which you cant see in the picture is bright red. Best thing i think about this handbag is the retro rock/punk feel which you dont see too often with alot of bags these days. Things in the clutch world can be a bit formal and serious sometimes so i think this makes a welcome change. Until next time

Ok so anyone who is looking for a cheap leather handbag needs to pay attention to this post especially as this is the first time i have decided to feature an Armani. Now this is also a first given the fact i have never had an Armani bag on this blog yet. The main reason for the absence or Armani on this blog is due to the price of your average handbag from the Italian fashion house. Its not that im against really expensive bags in principle but i do want to cater mainly for cheaper bags on this blog.

Now one thing i do have to remind myself of is that everyone’s idea of “cheap” is not the same and when i tell you that this new bag tote leather bag is going to set you back around £350  you may scream at your PC “thats not cheap!”. However prices are all relative and when you compare this to the price of your average bag from Armani then this really is a steal. As you can expect the leather is top quality and so is the finish but then again you would expect this wouldn’t you. So i saw this new bag from Vivienne Westwood the other day and its in the style of faux cobra leather which i think is really cool. The best thing though is definitely the colours which are the most amazing rainbow fade effect that i think is just great.

One thing though that i think may be though is finding an outfit to go with this handbag as the colours really are quite striking. However with all this been said i  think its about time i finally got around to showing a Vivienne Westwood bag on my blog here as she has been one of the premiere designers of the last 20 years. The price is going to be around £120 which isn’t bad i don’t think for a top designer, try geting a Prada/Gucci bag for less than £200 these days.

Im always looking for new styles her at cheapdesignerbag and one thing i do like to see is a bit of Art Deco now and again. So you wont be surprised to hear that i really love this cheap new clutch from Fenn Wright Manson. Now i have to admit that i havnt heard alot about this designer as they are pretty new on the scene but so far i think i like what i see. They do have a reputation for pushing the boundaries of modern handbag design and i think that can never be a bad thing.

This designer bag in particular seems to be based around a firework display so it should be at home on your average winter night out! The bow on the side looks really cool but it also quite understated too as it fades into the rest of the overall design. Also have yet to manage the best thing about this clutch and thats the price as its only £65 from John Lewis which i think is a great deal for a top designer. Let me know what you think.

So i thought it was about time that i did a post on some great DKNY handbags as there has been a serious lack of the designer bags from new york in the blog. This handbag im reviewing in particular is a Equestrian Hobo and it costs around £120 in most of your favourite stoes. I suppose you are wondering why is is called the Equestrian well its mainly because of its horse shoe shape and the way it hangs on the arm.

The leather is also really good quality and its a really cool dark brown that you will find goes with most outfits. As i have mentioned before DKNY have a really good reputation for making good leather and Donna Karan has never let me down yet when it has come to durability. In alot of ways this design reminds me of the older Jimmy choo bags that we saw last year but i still think its a great designer make. Also coming in at around the £100 keeps it cheap enough to be taken around every day without too much worry. I often wonder what people who carry couture handbags at £1000s to your average pub and restaurant are thinking! Then again if you can afford it you probably dont care.

So just saw this neat little clutch bag at asos and wante to let you guys know all about it. The style is very Jimmy choo and i think its a real steal at just £15. It can still be hard to find a clutch that follows the main style guidelines of comfort and lightness and still being small enough to be elegant but i think this bag might just pull it off.

On another note i think its great that more of these great designs are starting to filter down from the big fashion houses like Channel and Fendi to the highstreet. We have all wanted to see the latest designs from the Milan catwalk on the highstreet for a while but i have to admit that as far as clutch bags go it has taken a while. Still better late than never i suppose!

So this is something that we have all been waiting for, a cheap bag from Fendi that most of us can afford. Well when i say cheap i mean relatively as this designer bag is still around £499 from specialist stores. However when you compare this to the usual price of Fendi bags which can hit up to 5k i think this is a steal.

The other thing i like about this designer hobo bag is it has a kind of timeless quality that seems to be missing from many of todays bags. This is not a kind of here today and gone tomorrow designs as it has a very classic understated design that never really gets old. Its also a really functional bag that will get alot of everyday use and i think it will be great for all occasions. The zips on the front are also really accusable (and look great too) so its a bag you are going to be carrying alot of your stuff around in. Fendi also have a good reputation for quality leather as they have been putting it in Jackets and coats for years so i expect their handbags are going to be just as hard wearing.

I know for many of you that this bag coming in at just under half a grand can never be considered “cheap” but i think you’ve got to think long term and how long this bag it going to last you. Also i really think that everyone should own some Fendi at least once!

I really love exotic leathers and it doesn’t get much better than this beautiful Elise Python in whiskey leather. The fabric really looks incredible and its a rare occasion when one of the darker colours that i usually avoid stands out much more than your average pink.

I think this designer bag is going to be on the must haves for professional people in the new year as it has a classy but still understated look which i think is going to be a real hit. Still its not that cheap as its going to cost around £1400 in Saks but if you ask me its worth every penny and id have it over 100 tote bags any day.
