Cheap designer handbags

So it’s about time I got around to a seasonal handbag here and its getting very close to Halloween so I think the time is about right. First thing I have to admit about this Corto Moltedo clutch is that you can’t actually buy it yet which is slightly annoying. I’m told it’s going to be available online within the next month and hopefully in retailers for Christmas. Main reason I like it though is just how well this scary little spider fits the proportions of the clutch, even the metal web that has hold of the purse looks great.

I suppose the main reason I’ve held off from seasonal handbags here is because most of them look really naff off season, I mean do you know anyone with a Christmas purse that cost more than £5 and didn’t come in a cracker? However this cool little clutch does have the look of something that’s going to fit in any goth wannabes wardrobe, I can totally see people wearing this year round. Another point is it rare to see a great accessory on a modern bag these days but the intricate black widow spider on this Halloween bag really does stand out but still fits in with the overall look. I suppose that’s not an easy thing to pull off and it’s probably easier to design a great colour scheme or use great materials in your bag. Still it is something I would like to see more of, how about you guys? Before I forget the official site doesn’t have any prices or any real details yet but hopefully they will update it soon.

So time for another post here at designerbag and since I haven’t had a clutch bag here in a while I thought i would tell you about this latest addition from Chloe called the “Rodas” (im not sure what it means lol). This clutch does appeal to the eye straight away as it looks like a little present wrapped up in a black bow with its leopard skin wrapping paper.

The best thing about this clutch is just how soft and squash-able the leather is as you hold it. So often we find really hard handbags both in the tote and clutch range that don’t feel comfortable in any way and so not really practical for everyday use.

For a Chloe clutch I do think this bag is quite reasonable overall at just over £220 which for a top designer is not bad. I do have to think back a long way before I can remember a major fashion house getting close to the £200 mark with a new Clutch. Of course you can always wait a season or two in the hope the price comes down, however it’s not always a fool-proof plan as some handbags become instant classics as soon as they come out keeping prices high.

With all this being said I think if you are looking for a practical clutch that you can use every day but also stands out in its own right by looking a little wacky then this could be the autumn bag for you!

So the 80s seem to be a big thing at the moment, everyone is talking about crazy tie die hair and weird clothes and the great thing is you don’t even have to have been around in the 80s to appreciate it. So it is with a smile on my face that i review this totally custom Chanel cassette clutch purse here on cheapdesignerhandbag. First thing i have to mention is that this isn’t an official Chanel product but or even something by a bag designer that you would recognise but don’t let that put you off as the uniqueness of this item really makes it stand out from the crowd.

At the moment im hearing that the only place you can buy it is at a few specialised online stores like ShopLuxirare.com (who’s site is down as i write this) so it could be quite hard to track down. However you can probably expect to find lots of imitations of this bag floating around on ebay et al. Still with all this being said this is a really inspired retro bag (whoever designed it). As i have always said some of the simplest ideas are often the most iconic in the fashion world and with its see-through case and gold chain this clutch is sure to make you stand out from the crowd.

If you can track it down (cheaply) I’m sure this is a clutch that’s going to stay in fashion for quite some time, after-all it’s representing the 80s and not competing with the bags of today. My best bet for finding this clutch is probably going to be ebay, especially when it comes to price. I don’t usually recommend the auction site for buying expensive bags but when it comes to a cheap novelty item it can surely be worth the risk for £20 -  £30? Until next time…

So i decided to review another Christian Louboutin here on designerhandbag as i know alot of people really liked the last one which was a clutch in Metal and leather. This one is definitely a lot more unconventional with a distinct “punk” look which we don’t see too often. Indeed i have heard a number of people refer to the “piranha” look of this handbag which you could say makes it look even more aggressive. One worry i would have is what the bag is going to go with, I think it’s a case of evening wear out and distressed jeans in!

There are a number of things i like about this bag though even with the unusual styling, i especially like the embedded metal studs that start in the middle and go out to the sides. Also the rushed leather in the centre combines really well the black vinyl effect on the edges. Im not sure though on the whole who this clutch is going to appeal too, sure the rock chick market is big but is it very rock and roll to pay £950 for a handbag? Still if you’re looking for something different and are determined to stand out in a crowd then i think your search is over!

Its the first time ive reviewed a Christian Louboutin bag on this blog so I thought I would make a post about this new quilted clutch purse they have just released. I have to admit the first thing that popped into my head about this bag when I saw it was a sofa I used to own years ago! It really has quite an unusual look to it and im pretty sure this is going to get you a lot of attention from anyone else into great designer ware when you are out and about.

I really like the metal circles on the outside of the handbag but I suppose the most surprising thing is that there not silver at all! They are actually silver quilted leather and I think it looks pretty amazing either from a distance or up close. I have to say its great to see something different on a clutch but also something that we can all appreciate as even though this clutch is very unique Im sure it will appeal to a wide range of tastes in the fashion world. The price is slightly on the steep side but that is to be expected from any type of Louboutin bag these days as its over £800 in most stores. Still if your looking for something to really stand out from the crowd then you really cant go wrong with this fantastic new clutch.

So i already reviewed a Miu Miu bag about a month ago but i liked that one so much i thought i would do another one for this new “pink bird clutch”. The most striking thing about this clutch is the bird on the front which really does seem like it is flying. Best thing i suppose is that more designers are starting to Jazz up their bags a bit, ive seen too many with just plain colours and patterns lately. The bird design on the front of this bag really breaks up the stripes on the front well. This is actually quite a big clutch as it comes with an optional shoulder strap if you don’t want to hold it all day. You could stay that its half way between clutch and tote.

What cant be denied though is that this Miu Miu really grabs attention and with so many designers vying for attention these days youve really got to do something special to stand out from the crowd. I know some fashion houses are trying to stand out by reducing prices and offering discount offers but in my opinion the No1 thing that should drive sales should be the quality of the product itself.

So time for another first and its actually quite a surprising one as i have never actually reviewed a Bottega Veneta clutch bag on cheapdesignerhandbag before, in fact i don’t think i have reviewed a Bottega Veneta at all! So to make up for the shame of this lack of Veneta i have a beautiful new Knot leather clutch in purple and pink.

I really like the styling on the out outside of the bag with the lines that run though the purple and white leather created by the line stitching all over. Also the knot clasp to keep your valuables safe is really cool though i suppose not completely original. I also have to be aware that for some this clutch does not stand out enough to justify the price tag as its well over £600 online. I suppose this is more of a casual type of clutch and wont appeal to everyone especially if you are going to a real classy occasion. The general look that this is going to go well with is dare i say it (jeans)?? When you look at it this way £600 is alot for a daytime bag that your not going to be taking anywhere that special.

Still its an amazing bag from Bottega Veneta and they do have one of the best reputations in the clutch market and even for handbags in general. You really cant go wrong with this designer, i mean just look at this bag, its stunning!

So i decided its about time for some comedy here on cheapdesignerbags so where better to start than with a Alexander Wang clutch bag in the style of an American football. I always love to see different types of bags and this one will be going straight into the unusual category! This bag features quilted brown leather all over and also has brown laces just like a real American football.

The great thing is it does actually look and feel like a real football and also a great designer handbag at the same time. I really like the whipstitching that you get below the silver zip which really gives the bag an authentic feel. One thing you may be thinking about is what type of outfit or latest outfit from the fashion world is possibly going to go with this. Will i think the keyword with this clutch is casual as this brown leather is going to go great with any dark jeans. Also you have to remember the obvious that this would be an ideal accessory for any type of sporting occasion. So there you have it a cheap ladies bag that even the guys can appreciate!

So i was thinking today about what or who decides whether a particular handbag or purse is cool or not. Im not sure why i was thinking about this but its probably because i see so much divided opinion throughout different bag blogs and review sites over whether a particular designer has hit the mark or not. Now i know when it comes to fashion people rarely agree but i think its been a while since we have seen a really landmark product launch in the designer handbag world. I mean there are big launches but it usually arrives with a wave of equally positive and negative reviews no matter how much work the designer has put into the bag. Still i suppose this is the nature of the fashion world and anyway will it ever be possible to create the perfect purse,clutch,tote or even shoulder bag?

So with this in mind i just found the new range of clutch handbags by Colette for the spring season and i have to say they look pretty good (if a little conservative for my tastes). As you would expect from a leading French designer though these clutches are very chic and also understated to a point. The good points though are the many different designs for these bags as you have everything from cream to zebra print to fit your personal style. Another plus is the price as they are only going to set you back around £115 witch in the clutch bag world is a real bargain (i will not say budget). Anyway i know a lot of people on the blog may not be familiar with Colette but if you’re looking for something elegant, French and somewhat cheap then you really cant go wrong with this designer.

So this may be a first here on cheapdesignerbags as this is the first ecofirendly clutch handbag that we have reviewed. This handbag is made by a new company called Ascension and its made through a collaboration between many disadvantaged people all across the world. Un-surprisingly im not totally familiar with all of the details but still it’s the thought that counts and i think this is a great idea in general.

The clutch features soft brown leather and also has cute little diamond studs on the outside. It is quite small but i think thats the idea with clutch bags in general and i think alot of designers have forgotten this recently. Also it is really quite cheap at only £45 online which i think is a bargain. Check out their site if you interested in more eco friendly fashion.
